Industries in Agbara can experience deserve a stable and reliable power supply at a more affordable cost than self-generation. Therefore, relevant key industry operators have collaborated to design, finance, deploy, operate and maintain the requisite infrastructure to provide stable and reliable power to meet all of the needs of factories and other consumers in the Agbara industrial cluster.
The infrastructure includes
- Brand new 2×100 MVA transformers at the Agbara T/S, with 6 distribution feeder bays
- Brand new 33kV distribution network reticulating to the industrial customers (with appropriate protections)
- UPS/outage warning system
The Project directly optimises investments of more than US$5.6 billion in NDPHC’s power generation assets and mobilises capital to ensure that safe, reliable and cost-reflective electricity is provided to industrial customers under technically and financially viable arrangements
